THE ADVANCED CLINICAL EDUCATION FOUNDATION PRESENTS:

RECONCEPTUALIZING GENDER

Program Description

In the past decade, trans identities have come more and more into the spotlight. There has been increased visibility, representation in the media with and understanding around non-binary identities and pronouns. There has also unfortunately been setbacks as well – legislative attacks on accessing healthcare, increased stigma as well as the political scapegoating of the community. The truth is that the landscape and the language of gender is evolving. This workshop aims to provide clinicians with the tools to support transgender and nonbinary (TGNB) patients in an ever shifting world. By rooting the work in gender-expansive history across cultures and focusing on each patient’s own self-determination and gender euphoria, Daniel Tehrani, LCSW will provide a toolbox for gender affirming care in today’s world.

Presented by:

Daniel M. Tehrani, LCSW
