ACE Foundation Programs
This workshop will focus on advancing clinicians’ knowledge and skills in treating chronically traumatized children. For a number of reasons, this population can be particularly difficult to treat and can be personally challenging for clinicians. The workshop will address trauma reactions at both the biological and behavioral levels, including how trauma impacts child development. The workshop will then focus on how chronic trauma impacts the therapeutic process, and how clinicians can respond effectively.
