The Advanced Clinical Education Foundation’s Sunday Program Series presents:

CARL G. JUNG, WOUNDED HEALER: LINKING HIS BIOGRAPHY WITH HIS CONCEPTS AND HOW THEY ARE RELEVANT IN TODAY’S WORLD

Program Description

Widely considered a complex, often controversial figure, C.G. Jung’s life and writings have proven a source of both inspiration and exasperation. This seminar will present an introduction to basic Jungian concepts and the relationship between his formative life experience and the theory he developed. Concepts will include: the collective and personal unconscious, persona and shadow, anima and animus, synchronicity, archetypal symbols, and paradox as the psyche’s essential truth. Selected vignettes from clinical material, classical myths and fairy tales will illustrate throughout. We as a group will consider what is going on in America life now at an archetypal level.

Learners will be invited to select an aspect of life in contemporary America (politics, economic, cultural values) and present their understanding from a Jungian perspective.
