THE NEW YORK STATE SOCIETY FOR CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK WESTCHESTER CHAPTER WITH THE ADVANCED CLINICAL EDUCATION FOUNDATION PRESENTS:

INCORPORATING GROUP THERAPY INTO ONE’S PRACTICE – A DEMONSTRATION (PART 2)

Program Description

This experiential seminar is a continuation of the previous training, “Developing and Enhancing Group Therapy in One’s Practice” (Part 1) but attendance of Part 1 is not required to attend this Part 2 of the training. The purpose of this Part 2 is to further apply concepts of group dynamics, such as the “Art of Bridging” members. As reviewed in Part 1, group therapy differs from individual therapy because we are witness to how individuals struggle with how to be open, stay in the moment, and connect to their fellow members. As the group facilitator, we can model for group members how to communicate and connect with one another.
