In this seminar, I intend to bring the audience into the internal world of a patient suffering from a severe Borderline Personality Disorder. I will demonstrate my utilization of a Pluralistic Psychoanalytic Approach with specific emphasis on the integration of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in order to effectively tailor treatment to this patient’s individual needs for an optimal outcome. I will also discuss the importance of combining a DBT Skill Training Group with individual therapy sessions for this population.
