This presentation will address various types of extramarital affairs and current statistical findings of reasonsfor its’ occurrence. Participants will learn how to take an extended psycho-social to facilitate an understanding of the affair and effective ways to work with couples by dividing the treatment in three distinct stages. The initial discovery, understanding why and how, and processing and working through, will be illustrated through two case studies; one of a short term affair and the other of a long term affair.  Janice has specifically designed this presentation to enable therapists to navigate the highly emotionally charged treatment of affairs.  A power point will accompany her presentation.
